1.- MARC P. SAYS: 'Last week on Radio News 33.3 FM, they featured an interview with Emily Ann Lee, who survived Hurricane Katrina in her own home.'
2.- TOMÁS SAYS: 'I listened it, it was interesting and shocking at the same time.'
3.- CRISTINA SAYS: 'Yes, she was our age when that happened.'
4.- DAVID SAYS: 'I don’t know what I would do if I were her!'
5.- MARCOS SAYS: 'Me, neither!'
6.- ELSA SAYS: 'Where was she when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans?'
5.- MARCOS SAYS: 'She was at home. She lived in a two-storey house in the suburbs with her family.'
7.- LLUCIA SAYS: 'Was her home damaged?'
8.- NOEMÍ SAYS: 'Yes, her home was badly damaged. In fact, the ground floor was completely flooded. They lost all their furniture and, of course, most of the food.'
7.- LLUCIA SAYS: 'Uff, that reminds me the story of Majorca last year!'
9.- MARC S. SAYS: 'Do you mean the flood that happened in Sant Llorenç des Cardassar?'
7.- LLUCIA SAYS : 'Well, not really, I was thinking in the one that happened one week later in Alcúdia and Pollença. I’ve got some family there. Maria, my cousin, told me they were really scared.'
10.- KATARINA SAYS: 'I suppose so! We all had heard the situation one week before and the images in all the channels and at any moment.'
11.- IKER SAYS: 'Who was left in her house?'
7.- LLUCIA SAYS: 'Do you mean my cousin’s house?'
11.- IKER SAYS: 'No sorry, I was talking about Emily Ann Lee.'
12.- LUCÍA SAYS: 'News said that It was just her, her mum and Lucky, her cat.'
11.- IKER SAYS: 'How did they get food?'
13.- VALENTINA: 'It wasn’t easy! But they collected as much food as they could from the kitchen and took it upstairs. They had a little camping stove, and her mum cooked the food on the camping stove.'
14.- XIAO TING SAYS: 'Were they helped by anybody during that time?'
15.- HANNAH SAYS: 'Yes, they were. In fact, they were helped by people they didn’t know. They had a boat, and they brought them bottles of water from a supermarket, and stuff like chocolate. They were incredibly kind.'
16.- BÁRBARA SAYS: 'At least, at these situations is when humanity appears. That’s sadly the best part of these kinds of stories.'
17.- XIAO XAN SAYS: 'You are right! Why is it so difficult being nice with others in our routine or day-life?'
14.- XIAO TING SAYS: 'When were they rescued?'
18.- ANA SAYS: 'Well, they were very lucky. They were rescued after three days.'
14.- XIAO TING SAYS: 'How were they rescued?'
19.- TONI F. SAYS: 'They were lifted off the roof into a helicopter! She was very relieved, but her cat was terrified! He didn’t want to fly in the helicopter.'

20.- SALVA SAYS: 'They were taken to a nearby sports arena. There was a camp set up with lots of tents. There was food and medical supplies as well.'

INTRO
1. ANTÒNIA P SAYS: 'Today we are going to talk about our Peace Project. It is called ‘Passive 4 Being Active’!'
2. JONATHAN SAYS: 'During the first term we have been practising how to build sentences in passive voice.'
3. ADRIÀ V. : 'But in addition of that… thanks to passive we all wanted to be active!'
4. ADRIÀ C. : 'Have you ever read ‘Gorillas in the Mist’?
It was written in 1983 by Dian Fossey. She was an American primatologist who loved gorillas.'
5. ISMAEL: 'In 1985, Fossey was discovered murdered in the bedroom of her cabin.'
6. YANIRA: '… and in 1988, a film was based on this story. It was directed by Michael Apted and starred by Sigourney Weaver.'
7. CRISTIAN: 'There are three very important women who took care of apes. This year we have also learnt the difference between monkeys and apes. So, be careful… Neither gorillas, chimpanzees, orangutans nor bonobos are monkeys. They haven’t got any tail!'
8. ERIK: 'Orangutans have been studied by Biruté Galdikas… Have you already watched ‘Rang-Tan: The Story of Dirty Palm Oil’ short film? We highly recommend it! It has been produced by Greenpeace International Company.
It is a 90-second videoclip that went viral. This was narrated by Oscar-winner and Emma Thompson. It was showed as a Christmas advert on television by British supermarket chain ‘Iceland’.'
9. PATRICIA: 'The Borneo and Sumatra jungles are being destroyed by humans. But that’s not all … We have also a story about chimps, which have been studied by Jane Goodall.'
10. LLUCIA: '‘Chimpanzee’ is a nature documentary film about a young common chimpanzee named Oscar. This is produced by Disneynature Company.'
11. ASIER: 'They worked together with Jane Goodall.'
12. PAULA: 'This year we are working with Jane Goodall Institute too.'
13. CARME: 'How have we helped? Well, many electronic devices have been collected.'
14. IZAN: 'In fact, we have collected more than 120 mobile phones and tablets.'
15. SOFIA: 'Thanks to this campaign, 4 chimpanzees have been adopted!'
16. MARIA GONZÁLEZ: 'We are not going to have them in our school, obviously not! They must be in the jungle, with their mates, but some of them are being hunted, killed or even infected by human actions.'
17. MARIA GARCÍA: 'They remain in Jane Goodall Institute till they are ready to go back to the jungle.'
18. LAIA: 'Believe it or not, chimps, orangutans and gorillas are considered to be critically endangered animals, as facing an extremely high risk of extinction in the wild.'
